"Fred" is a Sable Champagne, which is the result of the champagne dilution on a seal brown base coat. He is homozygous for the tobiano spotting gene and homozygous for black pigment - he will produce no solids, and no chestnut/sorrel or gold champagne foals. He will make black, brown, classic champagne and sable champagne foals when crossed to black mares; and can also make bay and amber champagne when crossed to non-black, non-dilute mares. Live colored foal guarantee. Free rebreed if foal is not spotted. No LWO.

Recap and new pics!: 2002 APHA, PtHA, ICHR SABLE CHAMPAGNE Homozygous for Tobiano & for Black. LWO Negative. Will not produce any solid, or sorrel (chestnut) color foals. AI, Cooled Shipped Semen, & Live Cover available. California Champagne, AKA Fred, was bred for size, performance, conformation and disposition. Fred is built like a tank, moves like a cat, with the personality of a puppy! Like his sire, Fred is proving himself to be an exceptional asset in the arena & the breeding shed.

JMJ Stables wants to thank you for supporting the ICHR & champagne research!

Please be sure you include all requested info in your email.About emailing the ICHR:  Horse color questions cannot be answered without the horse's breed and registered name, if any.  Due to the extensive research conducted by the ICHR, we are usually able to determine if a horse has champagne in its pedigree by recognizing the names of ancestors we have determined were actually champagne.  These champagne sources are listed in the right column of each entry in our stud book!
