Due to the extensive research conducted by the ICHR,
we are usually able to determine if a horse has
champagne in its pedigree by recognizing the names
of ancestors we have determined were champagne,
listed in the right column of each
entry in our
stud book.

This filly, Zips SiouxzQ Outlaw, is an example how most gold champagnes start out the same beautiful
golden-sorrel color all over. Note the mane & tail are the same
color as her body. This gold champagne foal belongs to Rita Gambino of Long
Island, New York. (Note: she's all grown up now, with a flaxen mane &
tail, and taking her
mama's place as Rita's Champagne brood mare!)
